Terms of Use

Last updated: 20 April 2026

1. Purpose

These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of this website (the “Site”), operated by the publisher (the “Publisher”). Any use of the Site implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms.

2. Access to the Site

The Site is freely accessible to any user with an internet connection. The costs of that connection are borne solely by the user. The Publisher reserves the right, without notice or compensation, to suspend access to the Site, in particular for maintenance.

3. Nature of the information published

The Site offers comparisons of alarm and home-insurance offers, together with an aggregated map of burglaries reported in the press. The information is provided for guidance only. It does not constitute professional, legal or financial advice, nor a contractual offer. Before any purchase, users are advised to consult the chosen provider’s terms and conditions directly.

4. Burglary map

The map aggregates information drawn from publicly available press articles. Locations are geocoded to the town or neighbourhood level and never identify a precise address or a victim. The Publisher is not the source of the information and cannot guarantee its completeness or accuracy. Any complaint regarding a published incident or location may be sent to the Publisher via the contact page.

5. Links to third-party sites

The Site contains links to partner sites (alarm installers, insurers). Most of these are affiliate links: the Publisher earns a commission when a user purchases an offer through them. This compensation does not change the price paid by the user or the editorial ranking of the offers. The Publisher has no control over the content of third-party sites and accepts no responsibility for their availability or content.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Site (text, graphics, logo, comparison database, source code) is the exclusive property of the Publisher or is used under licence. Any reproduction, display, distribution or reuse, in whole or in part, without the Publisher’s prior written permission, is prohibited and constitutes an infringement.

7. Liability

The Publisher endeavours to provide accurate and up-to-date information but cannot guarantee that it is free of errors or omissions. Use of the Site is at the user’s sole responsibility. The Publisher cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from use of the Site or from decisions made on the basis of the information it contains.

8. Personal data & cookies

The processing of personal data collected via the Site is described in the privacy policy. The use of cookies is described in the cookie policy.

9. Changes to the Terms

The Publisher reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The date of the most recent update appears at the top of this document. Continued use of the Site after a new version is published constitutes acceptance of that new version.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the applicable law of the user’s country of residence. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable settlement, the competent courts of that jurisdiction shall have sole authority.
